That’s not all, they’ve put together a fun list of places to hit and get your fix of that intoxicating weekend joy:
Eddie’s Bistro, Bandra
Tucked away like a cosy spot, Eddie’s, with its wooden accents and warm lighting, has a relaxed yet intimate vibe. If you’re in the mood for something classic, then Eddies Tom Collins comes highly recommended. A crisp cocktail created with gin infused with cucumber and dill, this one packs in quite a punch. Also try the Rose Infused Martini that deftly balances a floral sweetness with a bone dry gin classic.
Doppio Bar & Brasserie, Breach Candy
With its contemporary all-black setup, Doppio’s décor has hints of greys and browns for that chic, classic feel. The plush furnishings just add to the charm, giving off a regal, glam feel the moment you step in your booth. Known for its coffee-based drinks, this one’s a treat for all coffe-lovers. Their Espresso Martini gives you the best of both worlds while the Smoked Espresso that comes infused with Talisker single malt whisky is your ticket to feel fancy with a single sip!
Long and Short, Intercontinental, Churchgate
Cheery décor and 20-cover al fresco section, this gastropub is positioned as a casual lounge with a killer view. The Barbados Fish Bowl cocktail is a signature of the house and is sure to have you asking for more. And something tells us that the Moscow Mule Revisited (which sneaks in Absinthe with vodka, lime and ginger ale) will make you really happy.
The Bombay Canteen, Lower Parel
Ever since it opened two years ago, The Bombay Canteen has become synonymous with offering something exciting to its patrons time and again. This summer has seen the launch of a whole new list of Thanda Thanda Cocktails. Aaj Ka Margarita Slushie is a hip homage to Aam Panna with its tequila, triple sec and lime addition. If you’re looking for something fun and cool, do not miss the Daaru Waala Popsicles that come in Pina Colada-Cherry Duet (white rum, pineapple juice, coconut syrup, cherries and cream) and the lush Mango-Chilli Bar (tequila, mango, chilli, triple sec and lime). Our advice – don’t miss it at any cost!
The Irish House, Fort
Despite having several outlets dotting the city, the one at Kala Ghoda remains a favourite thanks to the amazing music, prompt service and the spacious interiors. Don’t pass up on the Whisky Sour that manages to hit all the right notes and feels like a warm, tart whisky hug. Apart from an extensive selection of beers, their Old Fashioned is something you’d want to doff your hats to!
Café Zoe, Lower Parel
Bright and sunny in the day, the high ceilinged, exposed brick-walled interiors of Café Zoe transforms into a lively and energetic space in the evening – and a party destination perfect to liven up the weekend at night. When it comes to food, the lip-smacking menu has countless authentic European delights. Not just that, it’s also popular for its extensive selection of cocktails and beers, that will leave you spoilt for choice. Oh and the sangria collection is to die for! The melon sangria, apple sangria – available in red and white wine variants – at this all-day café are definitely worth a try.
The Good Wife, Bandra Kurla Complex
If you’re looking for something chic yet laidback on your night out, The Good Wife is where you need to head. With interiors replete with chandeliers, graffiti and interesting lights, The Good Wife ranks high on the good vibe charts (see what we did here?). Don’t miss out on their aperitifs, they make for a wonderful start to your meal. If like us, you’re here only for their boozy delights, the Bloody Married (vodka, bloody Mary mix, horseradish, nutmeg), Daiquiri and Mango Sangria (red or white wine) will have you calling for repeats.
Todi Mill Social, Lower Parel
When it comes to cocktails served up in never-before-seen avatars, Todi Mill Social shoots straight for the prize. The urban, grungy interiors only add to the whole appeal making it a wonderful spot for some boisterous celebrations. Do try the Aacharoska that comes in a pickle jar – a desi twist to the Caipiroska thanks to the Indian Lime Pickle added to the minty tart mix.
Havana Café & Bar – The Gordon House Hotel, Colaba (reserve now)
Antique leather cub chairs, retro posters, romantic archways and a fountain in the central courtyard, Havana offers a slice of Cuba in South Mumbai. While you’re enjoying the retro-fusion music here, and browsing through the 200 cocktail bar menu, do not forget to get yourself a fix of the signature cocktails like Zombie, Jack Sparrow or The Dictator.
The Bombay Bronx, Breach Candy
An homage to all things Bombay, the décor at The Bombay Bronx is quirky with symbolic representations of auto rickshaws, BEST buses and of course, the dabbawalas that pair perfectly with the trippy Bollywood numbers. The drinks too, are in line with the pukka Bombay theme – Kokum Sour gives you a Koli hit with its Kokum and whiskey mix while the vodka based Pani Puri Caprioska will instantly transport you to memories of the Juhu Chowpatty grub.
Now that you have your plans fixed, do pick your Zuver ride to make the most of your night out.
