Small Wonder: Mumbai’s 10 best small eats

15 Mar , 2016

Small plates, a concept already popular in the West is now making the right kind of noise on the island city’s shoreline. When The Table introduced the concept five years ago, a handful few globetrotters were aware of the trend while a majority of their diners were new to the concept. Inspired by the Spanish tapas style food, now, almost every city restaurant has a few small plates as a mainstay in their menu.

1. Desi Tacos at The Bombay Canteen

A Floyd Cardoz and Thomas Zacharias creation, this ‘chota’ (small) has Goan pulled pork vindaloo and refried beans or rajma topped with shimla mirch salsa – a perfect accompaniment to the banter and drinks abounding on the table.
