1. City of Nizams at Ek Bar
The latest entrant at Defence Colony, Ek Bar is touted to be the first Indian cocktail bar with unique drinks created for the inventive. Their City of Nizams is predominantly turmeric infused Bombay Sapphire gin with orange syrup and tonic brew.

2. Apple Cider at Molecule
True to its name, this two-month-old microbrewery in Sector-29 offers a range of spectacular-looking liquid nitrogen cocktails. My personal favourite is the Apple Cider which is a combination of Old monk and apple juice infused with a bunch of Indian spices including cloves, cardamom, cinnamon & black pepper. Who said spices were only meant for curries and gravies?

3. Foghorn at Cocktails & Dreams Speakeasy
Inspired by the ‘speakeasy’ bars of America during the Prohibition era of the 1920s, Cocktails & Dreams echoes the hush-hush concept as you set foot inside. With a ‘knock 3 times to enter’ entry permit, their cocktails are as innovative as their concept. The Foghorn, a personal favourite and a signature drink of theirs, is essentially a tall Collins with vodka, gingerbread syrup, ginger juice, lime and dry ginger ale built over ice. It is invigorating and smooth, but in no way as light as it may seem.

4. Boom Boom from Thailand at [email protected]
A masterpiece by veteran mixologist and bartender Nitin Tewari, the Boom Boom is served in an apparatus that lets out aromas of a typical spa in Phuket – this one has Galangal, Kaffir Lime, Gin and to my sheer surprise a Cucumber, too! Packed with flavour, innovation and drama, it has all the essential elements to become your go-to after a long day.
Where: Outer Place, Connaught Place
5. Gulabo at Dhaba by Claridges
Dhaba by Claridges is best known for its unique concept that seeks inspiration from, well, the Indian dhabas. With unique twists to their cocktails, Dhaba by Claridges never lets you sip on a mediocre drink. Try their ‘Gulabo – long island infused with the good ol’ Kala khatta!
Where: DLF Place, Saket & Cyber Hub, Gurgaon
6.Electric Daquiri at B Bar
The world renowned Buddha Bar chain not only offers an exquisite range of Asian food but also drinks that truly live up to the hype of the brand. Their whisky and rum-based cocktails enjoy immense appreciation from the customers – however, the most-loved drink here has to be the Electric Daquiri. A trio of sugarcane syrup, orange bitters and fresh lime paired with spicy rum infused Sechouan Button – just enough alcohol packed with an unforgettable punch!
Where: Select Citywalk, Saket
7. Hammer at Downtown
Downtown is best known for its brews and delicious finger food. However, to my utter surprise, this place also has some really great cocktails. A dash of freshly muddled lemongrass with lemon juice, curry leaves and the divine Gin – the Hammer is both refreshing and boozy!
