1.) Oktoberfest (Sept 9th – October 4th) – When you speak of beer festivals, Oktoberfest has to be at the top of the list. Touted as the ultimate celebration of beer, Oktoberfest is not only popular on its home turf – Germany, but is also widely replicated worldwide. Of course, nothing can beat the original. Opposed to the name, the festival begins in the month of September and runs into October, hosting visitors from all across the globe. 2.) Qingdao International Beer Festival (August 8th — 23rd) – Any true beer-lover will have definitely heard of the famous Tsingtao beer. But did you know that every year in July there is a festival held in Qingdao city (China), the home of Tsingtao beer? Not only is the city home to one of the most popular beers’ ever brewed, but it is also one of China’s most popular beach towns! As if the beer festival wasn’t a reason enough to make you want to mark your calendars already!
3.) Zythos Beer Festival (25th – 26 th April) – Probably one of the lesser-known ones, this festival is run by, and named after, Zythos – the Belgian Beer Drinkers Society. What’s amazing about this festival is that not only is the entry free, but also the fact that you pay just 1 Euro for a glass of beer! What better way to celebrate this mighty drink?
4.) NYC Craft Beer Festival (October 23 2015 – October 24th ) – Popularly known as Brewtopia, this is one of the largest and longest running festivals in New York City. It runs during the last week of October and features not only popular beers, but also includes local and independent craft beers. If you love beer and want to head to New York City, you know when to make the trip.
5.) Pilsner Fest (October 10th) – Beer lovers celebrate one of the most popular types of beers at the Pilsner fest, hosted in Pilsen, Czech Republic. It is located within a short distance of the brewery where the first Pilsner was brewed way back in 1842. Steeped in history, this is a definite must-do on a beer aficionado’s list.
