Each Friday night, after we finish off our workload for the week and breathe sighs of “TGIF” to our colleagues, we turn our attention more important things. Like, what will be our watering hole of choice this weekend? If you’re in Mumbai, we have ten answers to that question. Drink up!
1) Irish House
With its Irish themed interiors, massive pitchers and televisions broadcasting a range of sports, Irish House will help you forget about all your work worries for a while.
2) Monkey Bar
The recently opened Monkey Bar has become a fast favourite with Mumbai’s bar regulars. We think it’s because of their innovative drinks with an Indian twist; try the Monkey Masala or the Shazia Imli and you’ll understand what we mean.
3) The Big Kahuna
Take yourself on that much needed vacation to the tropics right in the heart of Mumbai at Lower Parel’s The Big Kahuna. Here’s a tip; if you book through the WowTables menu, you’ll get a delicious curated menu along with three of the Kahuna’s signature rum cocktails.
Santé, a French word, translates to ‘a toast’ in English so it seems fair that Santé in Mumbai will be a great destination to down a couple of drinks. Head to it on one of their karaoke nights and you’re guaranteed a night of fun.
If you’re heading to Cheval, it’s best to make a reservation beforehand. With a delicious spread of European cuisine, innovate drinks and plenty of space to shake a leg after you’re a couple of drinks down, Cheval is almost always full. Book through the WowTables menu and you’re guaranteed a place and a six course European meal.
If you love Asian flavours so much that you’re looking for drinks with an Asian twist, then Yauatcha is the answer to your desires. Try their cha la lai cocktail, made with oolong tea. It’s so delicious that you’ll want to make sure you line your stomach with food from the WowTables, so you don’t wake up with a nasty hangover after drinking too many the next day.
7) The Good Wife
Did you love the TV show The Good Wife? This gasrtopub with the same name will also get you hooked with its quirky cocktails like the ‘Wolf of BKC’, the ‘Mrs Robinson’ and the signature ‘Good Wife’, a blend of orange vodka, Campari and blueberries.
